Testimonies

The Salvation Army Wildwood Ranch in Ramona strives to serve the physical, social, and spiritual needs of children from the ages of 7 - 12. Camp provides an opportunity for each camper to share a group living experience, and have fun sharing activities throughout the week with other children their age. They spend a special week participating in crafts, hiking, learning archery, swimming and playing different sports. They learn about animals, sing songs around a campfire, perform skits and make new friendships. Camp counselors help campers make good decisions, gain confidence in their own talents and abilities, grow in independence, and learn to have fun with other children in a nurturing, supportive, loving environment. Campers are shown the love God has for all children. Scholarships are available for youth with financial needs.

MY STORY
To me, this camp is fun. This is my second year. I learned to swim here! That's my favorite part, especially when it's hot. I like the music too - the part I like is when I put God in my heart. I prayed. When I prayed I cried. I don't know why, but I just cried. I feel NEW. Like a new person. I will pray that I'll always have God in my heart!
